Reverse Speech Analysis of
the Gospel of Luke 20:27-40 (the Jerusalem Bible)*
The following experiment may very well be of interest in helping to determine whether the “arrow of time” goes only in one direction; or whether, as suggested by David John Oates,

meaning is encoded in human language in both a time-forward direction (which, purportedly, conveys information from the conscious ‘mind’) and a time-reversed direction (which, purportedly, conveys information from the “unconscious”).

Inasmuch as these words of Jesus are unlike the typical conversation of the dualistic consciousness of the “self” and the ‘thinker’ (i.e., originating in a ‘curved’ or 3-dimensional space), however—and are, instead, words spoken from the frame of reference of the non-dualistic “observing consciousness” (i.e., originating in a 2-dimensional ‘flat’ space)—the meaning conveyed appears to be of an entirely different quality altogether.

This is the summary of a reverse speech analysis of the Gospel of Luke 20:27-40, in which “f1-6” refers to the recording of the words in a time-forward direction; “r1-6” refers to the same words played backwards; and “F” refers to the respective time segments on the recording:

f1: “Master we have it…” (the Gospel of Luke 20:28)
r1: “Eman you were a sign” [“Imanu” is a Hebrew contraction for “im” (with) “anachnu” (us). “Eman you”, thus, means “with us you”.)]

f2: “…place in the other world…” (the Gospel of Luke 20:35)

The religious significance of these reversals is as follows:

These particular passages were chosen because they include Jesus’ metaphorical description of the Revelation of the memories of previous lives (figuratively referred to as the “angels in heaven”); thus demonstrating the depth of his disagreement over the Doctrine of “resurrection” with the Pharisees, Paul and Christian theology.

1) r1 is reverse speech of a statement made by the Sadducees rather than Jesus. It signifies, from the mouth of the Sadducees themselves, that the very life or presence of Jesus was, in some way, to be a “sign” to the Jewish people (also validating a statement found in the Quran). In addition, the word “Immanuel” in Hebrew means “God with us”; but, interestingly enough, the word “el” is not to be found in this reversal.

2) r2 is reminiscent of the Gospel of Matthew 21:19 and the Gospel of John 15:6 and seems to indicate a differentiation between those who seek the Truth and those who seek the pleasures of this world (or, in terms of consciousness, the differentiation between the dualistic consciousness and the non-dualistic “observing consciousness”); this reversal apparently indicating the futility of the desire for pleasure.

3) Along with the Vision of the “Son of man”, the Revelation of the “resurrection” (including the Revelation of the Memory of Creation and the Revelation of the memories of previous lives) is one of the two fundamental Revelations of the Torah, the Prophets, the Gospels and the Quran. The origin of the use of the number 7 is to be found in the Vision of the “Son of man” (see Genesis, the Book of Daniel, the Book of Zechariah and the Revelation of John). Thus, “covers seven in it” is to be understood as an indication that the Revelation of the “resurrection” confirms the Vision of the “Son of man”—the sequence of which is, interestingly enough, a time-reversal in the first place.

4) The most conservative interpretation of r4 is that Jesus appears to have had some knowledge concerning the future. It almost sounds as if he were challenging or taunting his enemies to eliminate him, so they would then ‘see what happens’.

5) r5 is a reversal of the reply of those who either understood what Jesus was saying—or wanted to appear as if they understood what Jesus was saying—when he explained the “resurrection” as the Revelation of the memories of previous lives. That is, while one sign of Jesus was his presence and his life, the “other sign” of Jesus was his Knowledge of Revelation Itself.

6) The most conservative interpretation of r6 is that this is also information in relation to the future, and an explanation of the fact that Jesus had to be eliminated specifically because of his Knowledge of Revelation and because he “spoke with authority, unlike the scribes and the Pharisees.” (the Gospel of Matthew 7:28-29)
