Prevention Or Cure?
‘Sexy’ Or ‘Not Sexy’?
18 days ago we set up a crowdfunding project:
for the purpose of creating an entirely new Islamic hermeneutic—that is, an Islamic hermeneutic based upon non-duality and the Knowledge of Revelation; in other words, a hermeneutic whose specific purpose is to destroy the dualistic, metaphysical Islamic hermeneutic which resulted in the terrorist attack in Orlando; with regards to which we have managed to collect a mere $250.
Meanwhile, the crowfunding project set up after the terrorist attack in Orlando has managed to collect more than $3.3 million.
Now, as has been said before, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
And contributing money for prevention is certainly not as ‘sexy’ as contributing money for a cure.
But the whole purpose of our crowdfunding project is to prevent such terrorist attacks as occurred in Orlando, and that more people will not be motivated to pay even more money for a ‘cure’ next week, or the week after.
Perhaps, if more money were contributed to prevention now, it would not be necessary to spend more money for another, or another, or another ‘cure’ later.
