Revelational Parallels:
Daniel & the Revelation of John

There are interesting parallels between the Book of Daniel and the Revelation of John.

For example, the Prophecy of the arrival of Michael is mentioned in Chapter 12 of the Book of Daniel; and Michael is also mentioned in Chapter 12 of the Revelation of John.

There is, however, a much more important parallel.

Chapter 12, verses 9-10 of the Book of Daniel:

“‘Daniel’, he said, ‘go away. These words are to remain secret and sealed until the time of the End. Many will be cleansed, made white, and purged; the wicked will go on doing wrong; the wicked will never understand; the wise will understand’”

And the corresponding verses from the Revelation of John:

“The great dragon, the primeval serpent, known as the devil or Satan, who had deceived all the world, was hurled down to the earth and his angels were hurled down with him. Then I heard a loud voice shout from heaven, ‘Victory and power and empire for ever have been won by our God, and all authority for His messiah, now that the persecutor, who had accused our brethren day and night before our God, has been brought down.’”

He who has the ears to hear, let him listen.”

Meaning: If you ‘think’ that you understand what these passages mean, that is almost a guarantee that you do not.
